Artist Biography

​

I am a visual fine artist interested in the process of making and engaging with an audience.

I work in a range of mediums including painting and sculpture, video, and sound. I explore the boundaries between pathways predominantly through colour and surface.

My work pulls from a range of external influences as well as personal reflections, as a form of reflection to myself and the world around me.

"A Student Room"

This immersive installation is a replica of my room in my student accommodation. I made a sculptural version of my bed and placed this inside a new room, painting the entire installation in the same motifs and my own responses as well as others. I thought it was important that the focus of the piece was my bed, to show how much of my time had been spent working, sleeping in that space. The installation is a sensory and responsive experience with the aim to feel somewhat claustrophobic and overwhelming so that you might feel trapped in the experience, as students and myself have felt during this past year.
